Since 1992, ChurchMouse Development Corp. has specialized in church accounting software, church management, and church record keeping.  Since 2001, we have offered a current technology product, ChurchBook/DataBase (CB/DB), replacing our former product, ChurchBook for Windows.  CB/DB will operate in a Microsoft Access environment, either with MS Access (a Microsoft Office product) or with MS Access Runtime (a free MS product).   Both combine the requirements of church accounting, church management, and church record keeping.

Most of the church accounting, church record keeping, and church management functions are not rocket science with the proper software.  They involve the systematic recording of family and member information, the recording of individual donations or other forms of income transactions, and the creating of checks which document all expenses charged for specific purposes.  ChurchMouse's church accounting software provides ease-of-use interfaces which simplify the recording of family and member data, income, and the creation of self-distributing checks.  Virtually all other applications within the program are automated to group these detail transactions and translate their data into information (reports).

ChurchBook/DataBase is intended for newer systems with large hard drives, reasonably large RAM (256 MB or more), and which have or need Microsoft Office Professional XP; which contains Microsoft Access 2002.  Access 2002 (or later) is the database used by this version of the ChurchBook program.

ChurchBook/DataBase - Runtime Environment is the same program, but uses the "Access Runtime" function supplied by Microsoft.  This allows the CB/DB program to operate without the cost of Access 2002.  The Runtime version accomplishes the functions but loses some niceties that are unique to the full-blown MS Office Access product.
