 There are there ways to install the demonstration version of CB/DB:
 
bulletIf you are going to download now, please print this page for future reference....
 
bulletYou can download the program from this page if you have MS Access 2002 (or later) installed on your system.  This is about 10 MB.  You should download this file even if you are going to download the Runtime file mentioned next.
 
bulletIf you don't have high speed internet, you can order a free "Run Time" version on a CD which contains Microsoft's Runtime program; this eliminates the need for Access 2002.  This is about 160 MB.  To order this version, click here to send an e-mail to support@chmouse.com.  Please be sure to furnish your full name, church address, phone number, and your e-mail address.  NOTE that if you have Windows7, you will need the "Access 2010" download from Microsoft, by clicking on the third link at the bottom of the page.

With high speed internet, you can download (about 74MB: 3 - 5 minutes) the file "CBW5 Runtime Setup.zip" which contains the contents of the CD mentioned above.  If you download this, you will have to put it into a temporary folder, then unzip it into that folder.  Then you execute the file "Setup.exe", followed by the file "SetupCBDB.exe".

TO DOWNLOAD the Access-owner version:

The download delivers an executable named "SetupCBDB.exe".  After downloading the setup into your download folder, double click the SetupCBDB.exe program to start the setup process.  You will be prompted to install the program in the folder "c:\cbw5".   Please don't change this prompt.  The reason for this is that CB/DB uses a "front end" and "back end" configuration; the front end (cbw5.mde) expects to find the back end (cbw5_be.mdb) in the c:\cbw5 directory.

In order to license the program, you must give ChurchMouse Development the name and address of your church exactly as it  appears in the tMyChurch table in your system;  the key for use of the program is calculated from the name and address.  Your key will be returned to you via e-mail.

NB:  Either of these downloads will overwrite your cbw5_be.mdb file if you have
your own data in it, so be sure to save a copy of  your cbw5_be.mdb before re-installing.
